Jhon Deere 336 Plunger Arm

I have a 336 Jd baler and it looks like the plunger arm in hitting the gear box. I know it is sliding back and fourth in the plunger need to figure out why. I assume the bushings are worn out but I wonder if that is the only issue. I can't make much sense of the parts diagram if the bushings go inside the plunger arm or hold it in place. Thank you in advance for any help.[/img]

There's 2 bushings in the rod, and a spacer on the RH side of the rod along with washers "use as required" to keep sideplay of the rod to a minimum.

Neighbor had one that did that. Hit hard enough that it broke the big splined shaft. Did a 'whole bunch' of other damage too.
