Looking for Ferguson or Massey Ferguson Disc Harrow bearings

I have noticed several people asking over the years about getting replacement bearings for Ferguson 22 or Massy-Ferguson 25 Disc Harrow bearings. I know new ones are no longer available and many recommend the Agri-Supply bearings that are similar. Surely someone has an old broken disc lying around that has a good bearing or two. I have an old Ferguson 22 and a Massy Ferguson 25 disc. Both need one new bearing. One uses the old wood insert bearings and the other uses 100% cast iron bearings. Let me know if you have any old bearings you would like to sell. I attached a picture of what the disc looks like.

Those wood bearings are not hard to make and if steel inserts looking like the wood ones just make wood for that as well.

Never saw a disk with so many blades beyond the last bearing. Would not work here in S. Mn. with all the boulders we have. Hit a rock with that front outside disk and you would sure bend
the shaft.

es, something doesn't look right. Only one blade beyond the inner bearing but 3 beyond the outside bearing. Those disks came in 2 different frame sizes; maybe someone installed the longer axles on the narrow frame disk.
Also those disks, at least the AB-022, only used 7/8" square axles and they will bend.
I also believe the model 22 had a 6.5 inch spacing but the 25 was wider between blades. Anyways, the problem with used caps is that they wear, I have seen them wore clean thru with a hole on the backside on model 22's.

The 22 and 25 do not use the same bearing and spools. The #25 had the bolt holes where it attaches to the frame moved to the center of the bearing whereas the 22 had the
bolt holes on the side of the bearing. The #25 had an adapter plate fitted to them so they could be used with the existing #22 frame design. Last time I looked the bottom
bearing for the #22 was still available from AGCO but the top bearing and spool were not. None of the bearing pieces for a #25 are available from AGCO.

Thanks for your response but I must disagree. I have both a 22 and a 25 and although the bearings are made different, they mount identical with the offset mounting and the frames are identical as well except the 22 has 6.5" spacing between discs and the 25 has 7.25" spacing between discs. Both of my discs have model number tags so I know the model numbers, I am not guessing. Some of the later 25s may have been made differently but not mine. I have given up locating any new parts, they don't exist, so that it why I made the posting. I have the model numbers off of each part from both bearings and these parts simply are no longer available. I figured someone out there would have a 22 or a 25 lying in a scrap pile with a broken bearing and would be willing to sell some of their remaining bearings. Even if I could find the bottom half (which used to be available) it would not help me because I need the top half and the spool as well. Since no one has responded with having any bearings available, I am considering modifying one of my 25 bearings by shortening the inner spool by 1/2" and bolting it on the 22. I could also mount the 22 bearing in the 25 but I would need to use 2 spacers on each side of the spool to account for the shorter spool. My 22 is in better shape so I will probably mount the 25 bearing in the 22 disc. I have considered the bearings from AGRI Supply as some have mentioned but they will require quite a bit of modification since the mounting is different and the spool width is 7.5".

Your 25 must be an early version of it then. Very early ones did use the offset mounting but the majority used the center bolt mounted. I have some NOS 25 bearings but they are the center mounted bearings. I do know of a way to fix it and keep it with 6.5" spacing but you will have to make some adapter plates.

Thanks for the offer, but if I can't get the original style bearing, I will just take a bearing out of the 25 and turn down the spool in a mill so that the length is the same as the 22. I just need to remove 3/8" from each side of the spool. The bearings are made differently but they mount the same. I was just hoping that someone would have an old bearing that would simply bolt on and allow me to get both discs operational. I needed one bearing for each disc but instead I will just scrap the 25 and get the 22 working. I can try selling the left over 25 bearings on Ebay.
