PTO Sprayer Pump Stuck

I filled the pump with an automatic transmission fluid/kerosene mixture and am letting it soak. Would there be any benefit to removing the cover plate?

You typically can just loosen the 4 bolts and then it will break loose.

Some have rebuild kits available if you cannot get it to free up or rollers are no longer useable.

Be careful dont try to force the shaft to break it loose, I did that already once and the impeller where the rollers run cost more than a new pump.My 2 cents worth.

I've always just hooked it to a tractor and give it a hard jerk by hand after letting some ATF fluid soak in it for a while. I take it off and store it with atf fluid in it when its going to set for a while. I never had any luck rebuilding one and just replace it every 4-5 years. I just use the 6 roller pump so cost is about 110 bucks to replace and a rebuild kit is 30-40 bucks.
