Ford 601 Mounted corn picker

I recently bought a 601 Ford corn picker. The person I bought it from had it on a 860, I'm putting it on my 860. I never saw his tractor so can't verify. The angle iron bracket that go under the axle don't seem correct. I cant hook the pto shaft up to the tractor. The husking unit seems several inches low. I've tried adjusting the center link, and the pto bearing support on my matches the picture in the owners manual. Can anyone give me measurement or pictures of the brackets?

Here a photo of the brackets on my 881, the stabilizer pin in the mounting hole wasn't my doing.
Photo is when we first pulled it out of the barn it had been setting in for 20 years.

Post a photo of how you have it mounted and maybe I can help, I'm on my 3rd 601 picker since 1964.

I have what appears to be home made angle iron brackets. The holes to mount the picker to the angle iron appear a lot closer to the axle on the picture you posted than mine. The holes in mine are about 4" or 5" down from the bottom of the axle.

The tag I found on the husking unit shows it to be a 16-123 if that helps any. It seems the main drive pulley and shaft is a lot lower than the pto shaft on the back of my tractor. The online new Holland parts catalog shows the support for the main drive bearing having two sets of slotted holes, mine only had one set.

Sorry! didn't get out of the hay field till dark.
The main frames on all 601's are the same so mounting is the same.
The angle iron brackets vary in design depending on what tractor the picker is mounted on and the tractors rear tire size, for bigger tires the bracket sticks back farther for the tires to clear the main beam.
On all of my tractors that have picker brackets the right side hole is about a 1 1/2" or so below the top of the angle, on the left side the hole is near the bottom of the angle, this off angle mounting help compensate for tire squat on the right side tire keeping the machine level.
The picker should be mounted so that the pto dive shaft is nearly level and straight with the tractors pto.
I'll have to look at mine to see if the pto bearing plate has one or two adjusting slots.

Here's a couple of photos of my latest picker mounted on two of my 4000's.

Mounted it on the 4000SU to remove it from the barn it had been sitting in for 30+ years

I'm beginning to think maybe mine
is mounted to low then. With the
PTO shaft level with the floor it
is several inches under the PTO on
the tractor. Also the park stand
is several inches too long to fit
under the hushing unit the way it
is mounted now.
