I am looking for the spring that makes the "dog" engage on the apron gear. Local Ih dealer no help. Thanks!!

My local independently owned hardware store has a stack of drawers four feet high and three feet wide filled with hundreds of different springs.

There are also places...we have one right here in town, that will make up a spring to specifications for a very nominal cost. The one here is a mom and pop operations with a lot of old machines on benches. I can take them any spring and they will duplicate it or can make them up to specifications if you have them. Get an acetylene striker and cut it to fit. Been one on mine for several years
