Bale wraper

Purchased this Hay Wrap Inc. Bale Wrapper at an auction last month. Unfortunately the company has gone out of business and there was no operator manual with it. So its guess and be golly how to operate it. Any one on here have one of these, had one of these, or knows the operating procedures for it. Any help would be appreciated.

It looks to be the same design as my lely hay wrapper try googling that and see if you can find a manual. If not I can try to copy mine for you.

Yep its a wrapper. Look at the picture and you will see the roll of black plastic wrap for wrapping on the distribution shaft

How does it wrap the ends then. Might be good for putting plastic on the circumference, but not for making silage or haylage.

What is the model number of your wrapper? I tried to find it on the net but so far the only ones that show are the balage models.

If you look at the wrap carrier it has the ability to telescope
allowing it to apply wrap beyond the edge of the bale on either
end if you do that then the next step is to place the bales end
to end line a inline wrapper would do. It?s not quite as good as
a inline wrapper but I?ve used mine to make haylage, my
biggest problem with haylage is my baler isn?t made for doing
that so it?s hard on the baler but it?s doable. As far as sealing
the ends of the row of haylage bales goes I?ve used dry bales
for that. You also need something solid to push the bales
against to get them tight enough to seal well.

I would appreciate it if you could copy that for me. I searched Lely HW30 in yahoo and the only bale wrapper reference initially was our conversation on this site.

Handy for keeping dry hay, just slower. Have to stab each bale and get off the tractor to operate it. I like mine.

It's an underverth (not sure I spelled that right). Stab a bale in the center, note you will need bales in a line in order to stab the bale if it is a solid bale. That is the best way is line the bales up close to where you want them then come through and wrap them and set them where you are going to store them.
Any way after picking up a bale and parking tractor, put hydraulic leverin position for bale to turn with wap side going down, that way it is pulling down on the roll of wrap and not up. To start there is a flow valve on the wrapper make sure you have it so it don't turn the wrapper when engaging the hydraulic lever on the tractor, you get off tractor take the end of the roll and tie it to the bale. Then turn the valve on the wrapper to start wrapping the bale. You will need to guide the roll and keep tension on the plastic. 2 rounds is plenty and will keep the hay for several years. When setting the bale down keep a few inches between each other, other wise you won't get good air flow through the ends of the bales and will mold where they touch. Any other questions just ask! Hope this helps, happy wrapping.

Oh to stop the plastic just put your hand through it then set the end of the plastic under the bale so it don't come loose and flop in the wind. Total cost of plastic to cover bales will be little over a dollar a bale.
