Have a heider auger wagon. Gears are bad in the lower gearbox. Does the roll pin have to come out of the gear to get the augers apart at the gearbox ? Have the bolt out where the stub shaft connects to the floor auger. Not sure how to get the vertical auger separated from the lower gearbox. Doubt I will find new gears so don't want to cut them off. Blacksmith may be able to make stub shafts, but not cheap. He may be able to build the gears up, and grind them to fit. Maybe. But, how does it come apart ? Has vertical and horizontal augers. Working on pics.

WOW! That Heider has ALL the options. I'd hate to guess how many tons of hog feed I hauled with the Heider auger wagon Dad had. It had home-made foot tall wood sideboards, just the pivoting vertical auger, the steel cover would have been nice, Before I took the tractor to town for feed Dad pulled it with his pickup, F-350 single rear wheel pickup or C-20 Chevy.

Big thing was keeping them out of the weather, rust inside them was a problem.

Dad hired his corn and beans combined in 1971 & '72, the Heider was a small poor farmer's grain cart. Perfect match to the 4400 Deere combine the guy had, 90 bushel grain bin, 90 bushel grain cart.
Wish I could help you on a source for Heider parts but we never needed any. A ten year old topic here at YT says Scranton Mfg. bought out Heider Mfg, phone number 712-243-4552. Comments said the Heider company was in business into the late 1970's or early 1980's before Scranton bought them.
