I have an old 2 row David Bradley horse drawn corn planter that is in pretty good shape. I am planning to use it for planting some corn but
an having a had time figuring out all the adjustments on it. Everything is free and operational and I have spend quite a bit of time pulling
it around doing different adjustments to see what they all do. I am looking for a manual, or copy of one, that can explain how it works.
Thank You!
Doug

Attached are 4 photos that I have questions/need confirmation on.
1st - what are the rollers on the sides for
2st - the links/cams by the fertilizer cans - how do they work? Fertilizer comes way to fast so I was thinking this was a selector to adjust the amount of fertilizer. Nothing I did seemed to change the amount of fertilizer being applied. There are rods that hook to one of the cams. they are unhooked?
3rd - foot selector seems straight forward. I can see where the cams under the seed cans have the same tabs as the numbers on the foot pedal - trips the seed plates more or less. Does this represent anything like seeds per foot or?
4th - sprockets, smaller gear makes the seed plates get tripped faster, larger gear trips seed plates less. I think this works together with the foot pedal selector to get your seed distance?
