New to this implement and having a difficult time determining what replacement knife/blade I need. Does anybody have a part number for this blade from a retailer like Tractor Supply or Atwoods?

Look on the blades you have and you should see a letter and a number or just a letter like A or B and that tells you what you need

Here's a link to the TSC site. They should have them in most local stores, it'll say on the package for NH mowers.

Take an old one with you as a sample.Sections are pretty much 'universal' with a few exceptions. I recommend overserated chrome. They wear longer and tend to be 'self sharpening'.

Also,if not already converted to section bolts from rivets,I recommend doing so as you change sections.

Just buy a whole new bar with sections. Then replace all the sections on the old bar on a rainy day. Next spring swap out for the season and repeat the preventive maintenance schedule. That's what I've done for my 489. Just a thought. gobble

I agree with DeltaRed on getting overserrated chrome sections as they have worked for me on my NH488, but truth be told, it depends on what kind of grass/hay you are cutting. Different types of sections match up with different types of grasses.

I underlined the new Holland part number the charts shows the oem number and the tsc part number
