Ditch and Bank Cutter

Anyone use a ditch and bank cutter? Thinking of getting one for road maintenance. Especially want something I can turn vertical to
trim back the brush and limbs that grow into the road. Got a 1 1/2 mile dirt road and a few woods trails. Will run it on a MF
1100 tractor. Any recommendations / cautions? Thanks.

I bought a new 2-120 Woods, that 2 spindles and a total of 120 inches of cut, 10 foot,It also called a single wing ditch mower,it's kinda ok,the center section should be 6 foot wide, because the wing isn't out far enough, to start the cutting on the ditch bank! You're going to say get closer to the ditch with the tractor, then the tractor is going down the slope, that doesn't work either! Anyway other than that it's a good machine, don't stand behind it when someone is mowing, because it will threw a steel fence post back about 75 feet.

There are a number of those with an arm to reach out over ditches and will cut the ditch bottom also . You will want lots of counter balance weight on the opposite side. Local guy contracts with the county for that work he has a counter weight in the wheel and some more hanging on the opposite side. The tractor still looks like it is light on the mower side. His will reach the back side of the ditch as he moves it back and forth to reach from the pavement.
