Anybody have a subsoiler

Subsoiler attachment on moldboard plow . I went to
college with a kid that put a ripper shank on each
bottom of a 3 bottom international rollover plow . I
like the idea but I have hard enough time keeping
that bottoms in the ground without working deeper
with a ripper shank .

Oliver had them clear back in the 40s on the TNT plow and they remained on option on the semi mounts clear into the 70?s. Never seen one in person but have known a few guys that ran them. Everyone said they suck in like hell. But if you?re pulling a normal four bottom plow, you better figure on dropping down to a two bottom with subsoiler shanks cause they pull that much harder.

I bet they pull hard and in my ground I can?t keep the bottoms from tripping as it is without adding that much more pulling against the trip mechanism

That option was available on horse drawn plows so the idea is olde then the 40s.
