Back on the 467 baler

Had sip up on my baler the other day. Had to pull baler from tractor, when hooking it back up, I bent a pin. That showed a code I didn't understand. Anyway back to almost normal. Got the two bale end senors set to what the book says 176 both sides and turned monitor off to set to memory. Now both bar on monitor goes to the top, not midway. Did I miss something?

Does setting sensors by code number require special tool to be utilized to hold the brgs on the actuating arms at a certain location? Are your baler belts the correct factory length? Length of belts will affect outcome of sensor adjustment. Those sensors can be a PAIN to adjust.

Brother, I feel for ya. I work with electronics all day at work. I try to reduce all of my problems home on the farm to mechanical issues.

If I had modern equipment with sensors and such, I would be pulling my hair out. Wait a minute... I'm bald..

Setting the sensors are fairly easy(ha ha), remove the cover, set the monitor on 7 or 9, one number works one side the other. Have the monitor the side you're on. When you have a solid beep, you snug it down, then go the other side with different channel, two bolts on each side. Loosen the bolts and turn by hand until you get the right sound.

Just for the heck of it, the manual has the channels switched. I disconnected both, moved one and looked to see which one changed.
