Second try:
I recently bought a JD seeder, but all the ID plates are gone. I want to use it on the ranch but would like to have a manual or at least know how to replace parts

Looks like a "plow-press" drill designed
for pulling directly behind a moldboard
plow. This was a common practice years
ago in some regions. But, I don't know
the model. Neat looking rig, though.

JD "pony press" drill. Do you have the hitch? Like was said it is pulled by a moldboard plow to plow and seed at the same time. When I started farming over 50 years ago most everyone "pony pressed" small grains in E SD. Looks like 4' machine that would fit behind a 3/16 plow.

Thanks, My plan is to mount a ball hitch on it to be able to pull it behind my tractor or ATV. I live is the eastern Colorado plains and the goal is to impact the soil the least we can when reseeding. My partner (wife) will be seeding some test seeds to reestablish some grazing pastures that has been over grazed. So I want the seeder to be my platform and enjoy the fact it is part of history. thanks again for the info.
