Haybob 360?????

Got a line on a Kuhn Haybob 360 that has been setting in the weeds for a few years - ?ran when parked?. That?s all I know.

Thinking about adding to the collection of junk for a back-up and/or to get another person/tractor on the field for some time saving.

Any improvements on the Kuhn over the PZ models?

My concern is many of our smaller fields are very lumpy and irregular shaped. Are these Haybob?s flat land rake/tenders? In these lumpy fields, will the machine dig the tines on the ground breaking them left and right?

Any sage advice on these Haybobs (especially the 360?s) is much appreciated. Grass hay, not legumes.

Thanks!
Bill

I make grass hay with a Haybob 360. They are tough Old reliable machines. much stronger than The Little Italian 2 rotor Tedders. The tines Are lifted by a coil spring And Go down to the ground to rake Or Tedd By centrifugal force. I put all new lift Springs And Tines On a machine 2 years ago. I have probably raked Or tedded 200 acres Since then And have not broken a single tine. My fields are small And irregular And bumpy. I have learned to hook up the machine in less than 10 minutes. Being able to lift it up and move from field to field is an advantage For me. I bought my parts In England, Shipped here by air, fast And inexpensively. Even bought a complete set of tines on sale, much Cheaper than I could buy them in the United States. I suggest you look at the Haybob Videos on YouTube to Help you understand how the machine works. I cut some orchard grass hay here last week, that was so thick that I could hardly drive through it. had to tedd it 3 times to get it dry enough to bale. Horse hay for my race horses. Without a good tedder I would not have been able to bale it.

I have the gates and divider, and sometimes rake hay with it. It is a decent rake but a bit clumbsey to use. My suggestion is to watch the videos. If the price is right it is a good machine. I will share my parts sources if you do buy it,.
