I bought a JD 416A 3 bottom 14" 3 point mounted plow. I need to replace 1 shin and 1 share. When I look in the JD online parts books the following plow bottoms are listed: HS314, HS324, HS354, HS434, HS44, HS444, HS534and HS544. They also have full cut and narrow cut and full cut. What are the differences in the HS numbers and what is the difference between full and narrow cut? thankyou.

The main difference in the bottoms is the share is held on with either 3 or 4 bolts. If the model number of the bottom starts with a 3 then it has a 3 bolt share, if it starts with a 4 then it's a 4 bolt share. A full cut share completely cut the furrow slice and a narrow cut share leaves an inch or two of soil uncut to act as a hinge to help roll the soil over in some conditions.
