so of course my manure spreader won't work and it's full of SH**. The pto is hooked up and running. but the Cog wheel(I hope I am calling it correctly) don't catch correctly therefore the chain doesn't go.

Are you aware that there is a shear pin on the ratchet drive on that large sprocket? If this pin is sheared, the apron will not drive. Also there are two dogs that stop the drive gear from backing off after the ratchet arm turns the gear. If these dogs are Worn off, or the spring that holds the do?s tight to the gear is stretched, or broken, your spreader will not unload.
