New to me 800 cyclo planter

Just purchased a 800 cyclo at an auction and am looking for a little insight on it. It's currently set up as an 8 row 15" and my best guess is it was an 8 row 30 that someone changed around. Going to use our 706 to run it is my plan. It appears the previous owner had it running the pump off tractor hydraulics but it came with a 540 pump so my plan was to mount a small hydraulic tank on the tongue for the pump and use one of those lever flow control valves to set my air pressure. Not too familiar with these pumps but would I be able to run a 1000 to 540 adapter so i could drive about half throttle or does the pump put out enough pressure I'll be able to run at half throttle off the 540 directly. Other question is how are most of the markers plumber? This goes to a hose with no fitting on it that I assume the previous owner kept. Do you guys like to run them separate or plumb with the lift?

The pump should be mounted in its own reservoir and should not need additional. There is a valve on the pump to adjust the air pressure.

Also, IIRC, there would be an oil cooler mounted in the airstream to the fan intake to cool the oil before ir returns to the pump-mounted tank.

These are the 2 lines currently going to the fan, it doesn't have an oil tank on it currently. Pump was included but not plumbed for it yet.

Most of the markers are plumbed off of the lift and have either an electric selector or a simple alternating valve. The later is pretty reliable

This is the valve for the markers, I assume the alternating like you mentioned. Plumbing together will simplify things some

Got to looking at it a little more tonight and it does have the oil cooler you're talking about but it's not hooked up either currently. I took a picture of the hydraulic motor from the rear of the planter. I would assume left side as it travels is the out from the motor that would then go to the cooler.

I would think twice about running it on a 1,000 rpm, your not going to have very good governor action at less than 1/2 throttle !
