Ford 703 Series Loader Bracket Question

Hi all,

I just purchased an old Ford 703 series loader to mount on my 800 series tractor. I have both the operator's manual and the parts manual.

The mounting bracket that came with my loader is like the one circled in red, from the parts manual. However, the operators manual shows the type shown in the two other pics.

Any idea which is correct or why two different styles are shown? Thanks!

Paul

Thank a ton Andy! The Assembly and Operating Instruction copy I have is dated 1957.

Can you let me know where you found the 1955 version so I could get a copy?

Thanks again!

Paul

I purchased that manual years ago but I don't think I can post a link or mention the site on this forum. Try googling "n news" and look in their archives.

I think the bracket you have is the early version. I have the later version on my 1957 Ford 800 as shown in your bottom picture (attaching kit 19-116). Below are two pages from the assembly and operating instructions for the 703 copyright 1955 that shows the bracket you have.

Sorry it's a 19-97, not 19-95.

Well, that's weird. The one circled in red is what came with the loader. The loader is a 703 series (19-95) and the previous owner said it used to be mounted to an 850 which is what I have.

The one circled in red is also the only one shown in the parts manual which is dated 1953.

I have that exact tractor and loader sitting here now, it has the hardware shown in the lower picture.
