I just purchased a van brunt drill today. Has a few problems, but all fixable.... I hope. I would like to know what model I have.

Type of lift being mechanical, hydraulic or levers were all options for same model drill. I still remember assembling Model B,FB-B & 8000 series drills when I was employed by a JD dealer

Planted thousands of acres of wheat with one of those in the '60s and 70s. It was a 20x8 with the trip lifts. I still have some replacement parts; disk scrapers (maybe some rivets, too) covers for the seed openings in the box.

What you are calling autolifters are actually called a clutch. Some drills have on seed chart about planting corn. I dont know if yours would have that or not and don't know where my book for that driil is or for the McCormick to see if they list things but I would never try it in a drill. The McCormick was a double run that I liked but I hated the Deere fluted feed and was going to go back to the McCormick that I bought one that needed repair to get back to like the one had but quit farming before I got things done.

(quoted from post at 07:09:58 04/12/19) can you use this drill for seed such as corn and sunflowers or are they too large?

Check the 3rd picture in your post. I enlarged the chart, and it looks like it has a setting for corn. I've got a FB, and it's very similar, and have planted milo, wheat, rye, austrian winter peas, and turnips. IIRC, the gate in the top tube assembly can be adjusted for soy beans, have to check my manual. The top tube assembly is directly under the fluted feed rolls, attach to the tubes guiding the grain and fertilizer into the disc opener boots. I'd think the smaller black oil sunflowers, could be drilled, but I've never done it.

(quoted from post at 17:36:37 04/13/19) where’s can I find seed cups, i think most of the “flappers” are gone

By chance when you state flappers are you referring to feed gates(key 42)? If so part# is as follows. I can't believe the price of a little piece of tin & small rod.
BB921M DOOR,LATCH, & PIN ASSY, TRAP ADD 30.82 USD

And when you have to change settings for different seeds plan on loosing a lot of skin as I mever found a wat to change positions on them without loosing that skin. Had to change them both spring and fall. What I hated the worst about that drill, that is why I was going to get rid of it.

After getting to where I can see a few of the seed doors/ feed doors It s probably best to replace them. Question is, how do they remove? Is it possible to make them?

Find yourself a extra drill in a scrap yard, plenty of them, turn it over so you can easily see the bottom and just start removing parts untill you can get down to them and then when you try to take apart you will know how they are put in and hopefully you will find enough good parts to repair yours without going and buying a second parts drill. Never heard of any aftermarket parts for any grain drill. I guess the new no-till have them but not from the 40's or 50's.
