New holland 68 feeder assembly differences.

What is the difference in the feeder on the 68 balers? Some 68 balers have a higher back than the other over the feeder area. Just curious, thanks!

All the 68's have the same feeder mechanism that I know of. ???

68 is a 68. A 69/269 is a low profile baler.Maybe you are misreading numbers?

I know what you are talking about the sheet metal rises up where the feeder runs,I have wondered that my self but never knew why that was done,the 277 does the same thing havent researched it with oart numbers etc

I've seen pictures of 68 balers that have different sheet metal over the feeder area. The style with the higher back has the twine coming out of the top of the twine box area then going through the feeder area. The other, lower style, has the twine going from the twine box straight out through the back of the baler.
