NH 72 Bale Thrower

I've had a NH 72 bale thrower for 6 seasons on my 570 and every season I'm replacing bearings. Its very unreliable. Anyone else have issues with this?

That looks a lot like the thrower on my MF 224. I believe that it is made by Vicon. 5-10 years ago I noticed some noise form it and investigation revealed a bad bearing. I replaced all four on that belt at the time. The other belt hasn't had a problem yet. After I had it a few years I noticed that moisture tended to stay in the chaff under the covers so I removed them so that I can keep it cleaned out.

My buddy has one on his 570 and it's been trouble free. He puts about 10k bales through it a year. I wonder if you have a bent shaft or something? The bearings on those throwers are spinning awfully fast, so it wouldn't take much

Failing high quality bearings on the drive roller? The shafting is probably undersized from the factory, particularly on late 500 series and early BC series
equipped with a 72.
