CaseIH 145 Roll-Over Plow

I have come across a couple CaseIH 145 Roll-Over Plows with Automatic Reset. They appear to have a hydraulic pressurized canister to provide the Automatic Reset function. Can anyone give me the pros and cons of these plows? I would likely to interested in a 3 or 4 bottom.

I am going to post on the Implement and on the CaseIH forum.

Thanks.

Paul

I?d love to have a hydraulic reset plow I?m tired of replacing 200$ worth of fiat parts every other time I hit a big rock .

There?s some on Tractorhouse.

I talked to the local Parts Guy. Without a p/n he was unable to tell me if wear parts are available. But it was all on his parts system which bodes well in my mind.

I have not heard any negative comments about them.

Wear parts for a plow that new would be available just about anywhere that sells tillage parts. I looked at the prices on tractor house and there?s no way I?ll be doing that anytime soon

A 'hydraulic pressurized canister system' was/is used on Massey Ferguson reversible ploughs too (don't know of it's exactly the same), but I had one (a 262) for many years and that general type of system works perfectly. There was a pressure guage on that system and a valve to re-pressurize the cylinder if required - but in many years operation it never needed done. Brilliant for allowing one bottom to climb over a hidden rock under the ground without forcing the other bottoms out of work. Jim

Wear parts-shares,shins,landsides,moldboards?.Are all available.About anywhere. The 'IH' twoway plows are made by ArtsWay.Even our local JohnDeere dealer sells new ArtsWay plows. Those IH/artsWay plows used the same wear parts since the early 60s.As far as I know everything is available.I currently own(and use) 3 of them #210;314;642.There are a lot of 140,145,155,165 in the area.
