Tire size for Van Brunt drill

What was the original tire size that came on the Van Brunt drills with the galvanized box? The one I'm working on (16 drop) has 15" wheels. A different one I have (also 16 drop) has 16" wheels.

Growing up in the 60's we had two model "B" drills, one had 5 bolt hubs and one had 6 bolt hubs, and, as I recall, one had 15" tires and one had 16" tires, but I can't remember which was which.

Parts catalog shows a switch between 1950 and 1951 from 5 bolt hubs to 6 bolt hubs. NO mention is made of tire sizes, that I see.

Is the hub bolt count different between your two drills, or just the tire size?

I'd have to check but I'm pretty sure the OM for my JD "B" Van Brunt gave a tire size. Somehow I got the info because I had to translate the old tire size into current sizes and find the correct 15" tires to use and have it drop correctly. Have an OM that you can check?

A 6:50x16 is just about the same height as a 7:60x15 so interchangeable. Think both were avaible and just the buyer prefference if the 16" or 15" as they were dold without tires and buyer could either buy new tires or use the ols ones off his car and depending on size on car was what he bought.
