Can chains be run on tractor that has the old Farmhand F-10 loader on it, the cylinder's don't have a nic on them, and would like to keep em that way, I got about 2 inches from the tire to the cylinder's will that be enough ?

2 inches is pretty close. Might work if you keep the chains tight and tie the loose ends back. Can you slide the wheels in on the axle?

We ran a 1954 John Deere 70 with an f10 and chains. This was feeding cattle in the 70's 80's. I don't think there was much over two inches of clearance. It will depend how big the links are in the chains.

Back when chains used to be run on pavement as when I was a kid, chains would wear out in a season. Cross chains would break and play havoc with everything in their path. Staying in dirt and snow will result in very slow wear and extremely rare breakage.
