Opinion on hay mower

I’m looking at Kuhn FC 3160 mower conditioner. I really like the simplicity of it plus the fact that you turn 90 degrees left or right without the tractor tire hitting the mower. I’ve always had Vicon, will I be disappointed going from a three blade to 2 blade head? Any opinions on this or the machine itself would be appreciated.

I've got an FC2860TLD. I think JDFarmer has one too if I remember right. It's a foot narrower than the 3160. Great machine. I don't know why Vicon thought they needed a three blade. They were the only one that used it weren't they? The Kuhn has quick change knives,no bolts to remove. If I have any complaint at all,it's that the float springs could be heavier. I broke one the first year. They're stretched out there a long ways when the machine is on the ground and it still doesn't float as well as it probably should. Mine's the flail type,I assume that 3160 is too? No complaints there either.
Only thing,there are two different types of U joint at the rear of the PTO,one's a CV and one isn't. If it doesn't have the CV,don't start it up with the tongue swung all the way in. Mine doesn't have it. I had a Vicon,the rolls fell apart.

on the market other two being Krone and
Deere.

Yes, I’m looking at the flail type conditioner and it also has the second CV joint, which I assume is the one you’re talking about.

I have a 2014 GMD2850TL, 9 ft trailed mower without conditioner, the gyrodine pivoting hitch is great.
Love the machine and it's simplicity, only regret is mine doesn't have the rear cv joint.
We have a older Kuhn 3 point mower that hasn't been out of the shed in 3 years, next time it's hooked up will be when it leaves the farm for good.
We mow 150 acres 1st cutting and 50 acres 2nd cutting, roll up 1000-1200 4x5 rolls per year. This machine has mowed over 1000 acres of Ky farm land without any needed repairs other than blade changes.
A Kuhn FC2850TLS with steel rollers is on my to get list.
