I have a Holbart Champion 10,000 generator welder combo with gas engine. I bought it new, maybe 15 years or so ago, don't use it much anymore since I turn 70. Was using it yesterday and ready to take a break. It never idled back down and turning the switch off, it would not die. I ended up remove the spark plug wires to stop it. I didn't know of a different way. Would someone tell me where to start?

I have a older Hobart welder as for the idle down there is a fuse link for it mine has blown several time on me,as for not shutting off I would check for a loose wire or rodent damage to the wiring

Go up to tractor talk forum and holler to a guy named Billy Schafer (he is the generator guru) He is in Texas also. If he cant help I would say you be in real bad shape!!!

I went out and removed the outer shell/hood. Saw nothing to speak of, a few old dobber nest. Blew it out. Cranked it up, let run a little while, then turned the switch off and it died. Did it several times, it worked just like it should, maybe it didn't want to quit yesterday, wanted to work longer I guess.

Thanks
