John Deere no.8 mower

Sure it will, if you have enough pressure.

Any, likely, darned FAST.

Will take about 3.5 times more pressure and move 3.5 times faster than a 3-1/2" cylinder for the same GPM of oil flow.

Yes but so fast you cannot stop it where you want it to. If you want to shake a plug off the bar that speed is cood for that. I used a 2" on my corn planter as I wanterd fast raise and lower for the turns at end of row.

Easy. But you will be much happier with a larger cylinder.Or add flow restrictors to your 2" cylinder.

I have quite a range of flow settings on my John Deere?s I can raise a farmhand f11 from all the way down to full extend stroke in 15 seconds or 60 seconds depending where I set the flow if it?s still a little to fast I could put a flow restrictor in the line

I am a little late in responding, but dad had a No. 8 behind his 656 IH and he put a cylinder off of a M front mount culivater. Hit the hyd lever and it come up so fast he said the crazy wheel on the mower come off the ground.

NEKS I definitely don?t want it to be that fast but I think I can adjust the scv wnough to compensate . I used a 4 inch bore on it last year and I really want to get something a little smaller that I can put on the mower and just leave it
