Our family has 3 of these rakes, and we need the bearing's on the end of rakeing bars, it a 5 bar rake, the bearings are dry, or need replacing, My dad bought the one new in 1958. It looks like a sealed bearing,in a cast iron holder anyway they are original and are very dry. We also need some good original teeth, the jobber one just bend over, very soft, and a waste of money! Help!!

Are those bearings just a common flat race sealed bearing that presses in to the casting and are held by a snap ring or something? Most any good bearing source should be able to get them if they are.

Yeah it's a cast iron socket,i think you are on to something when u said a snap ring, kinda a hidden recessed one, but i think it's a bearing with a threaded stub coming out of it.But thank you very much !!

I have a 307 oliver rake that I had to replace all the tine bar bearings. Don't remember exactly how they went in but I do remember that I took the old one to the auto parts store and they were able to nearly match it. Think I had to add a washer to shim it up to the right thickness. As far as teeth , the current farm and fleet, Ebay knock offs work as well as any I have bought over the years.

OK, thanks we have not tried Farm and Fleet for teeth, but we sure got the stores to shop at,thank you very much,so does that bearing have a stub in there, like i am thinking ?

No I think the 307 just had a bolt thru the bearing. Been awhile, but I know I just got the bearings, no stub bolt with them. Tear one apart and see how it goes together. I was working on an allis rake or maybe it was the Minnesota one or both but they had bearings enclosed in a hub held with a snap ring. Seems like the oliver was simpler.

We just did a 207 rake. Took one apart and took the pieces to a bearing supplier. They matched it easily for $5.25 each. The threaded piece will press out and you need to press the bearing out of the casting. Good luck

Thanks for the info, the rake is 10 miles from my farm now, so as soon as it warms, up take 1 apart and see what i got, thanks for all your help!
