2 pt IH 540 plow to 3 pt

I want to pull my fast hitch 2 pt IH 540 plow with Case 970 3 pt. What?s the best way to convert plow to 3 pt? Thanks!

What about a top link? I thought I needed to take fast hitch points off and replace with bar for 3 pt arms.

That is easy,unbolt the fast points and add two three point pins(any farm store should have Cat II bolt on pins in stock. You will not need the top link at all with a Case.

For a semi mounted plow, you only need the lower 2 arms. Like the others say, just put on the category 2 pins in place of the fast hitch spears.

Un bolt the rod that is held up with the spring and remove the two fast hitch arms. you now have a 3pt
IH 540 plow. You do not need a top link for a semi-mounted plow.

You do not need adapters but may need spacers depending what catagory your 3pt is.

Easy as that!
