After looking at the pictures,My opinion/advise is to haul it all to a local auction. It will bring it's value that day. You will be rid of it with no BS;'jewing';'low ballers';lookie lews;scammers;no shows,etc....Most looks like it has sat for years.Hard to get a fair deal in that condition. You got it all with a piece of property? you just want it gone? Consignment sale is your best bet. This time of year is a good time for sales.

At consignment sales in my area most of that stuff will bring scrap price minus the cost to haul.If he wants to get much out of it he'll have to sell it piece by piece and yea it'll probably be some work and hassle to it goes with the territory.Rather than doing the work and time of hauling to a consignment sale I'd say he'd be better off to take bids on the whole works. No hauling,no selling fee.I personally would pay more where it sits than after its been hauled and beat up getting it to a sale.

That's the way it is here. Scrap prices are down, that's the only draw back. When a neighbor had an auction five or six years ago,I'll bet 75% or his stuff went to the scrap yard a mile and a half away. He'd have been way ahead if he'd have taken the bulk of it there himself and taken the tractors and a few newer pieces to a consignment sale. He got less than he would have at the scrap yard and paid commission on top of that.

Only thing that bothers me is that that's an Oliver cultivator. I've got one just like it though and haven't used it in 20 years or more.

You're probably right. The scrapyard would probably bring the most money. But I really HATE hauling useable machinery to the scrapper. Even if it is old.I think I'd rather give some of it to someone to use, rather than just scrap it.

Ya,with the stuff he pictured,I'd be trying a CL ad first. That planter might have some value for food plots, but it'd be a whole lot more if it was a two row.

Thanks gentlemen, I will try to sell some of the pieces, especially disk and plow, old stuff sitting outside I could scrap without much worry.
I appreciate the words of advice.
