+Hey TX Jim

I'm about to get back on the baler. The problem was it gave me a signal to dump the bale. You said check the latches and make sure they had the right clearance, which one didn't.
I had to stop and do other things for a while, I did order some new shims with one that has the square hole.

My question--looks as if the spring is loose that attaches to top of that latch, can I just tighten the spring until I get some tension on it? What will I mess up, which I beginning to get good at?

Is this the spring(key 8) that's loose that you're referring to? If so no I'll guess rod is binding in pipe from lack of grease.

That's the rod. I haven't greased the baler this year. I'm a retired guy that's doing something I wanted to try, maybe 200 (give or Take) 4x5.5 bales. I oil the chains when that last bale hits the ground, then gease at the end of the year.
