Trying to reply to the post about the Deering Ideal Chicago USA but the system keeps giving me an error.
I just brought home one just like this last night. The casting has a J202 under the tongue mounting area. Right wheel is frozen while the left will only turn in reverse. Cutting bar is free and the wooden arm that drives the cutter is there but a bit rotten on the bottom. The seat mount is broken at the bolt but I do have the seat.
I would like to restore it next summer.
Can you share all the information you know about this mower? Correct name, build year(s), paint color?
