old tractor draw sickle mower

New to forum and in need of help. Have purchased a sickle mower missing bar tip handle. Looking for tips or information. Mower is orange with no apparent markings. Has two point hookup and solid rear wheel, with aluminum sickle bar shaft and is belt driven from PTO shaft to sickle bar shaft.

Its a Allis Chalmers No. 3 the hitch part is missing. There were hitches for B , C, WC, and WD model tractors

It is an Allis Chalmers # 3. I used a new one in the late 50's, mowed Soil Bank fields for $1 an acre.

Agree on the AC #3...I have one with the WD hitch brackets. Last of the AC sickle mowers with pitman drive...next was #7 Twin Wheel Drive.

I have 1 just like it. You will need to make a bracket for it or put 3 point pins in the holes, get a longer PTO shaft and use it that way. That's how mine is.
