Deering New Ideal mower color scheme

The original subject was "Re: Deering New Ideal mower color scheme".

Well here we are 10 years later and I am seeking information about this mower. I just brought one home tonight and while it is still too dark to look it over for identification it is clearly marked Deering Ideal...........
How did yours turn out and what color did you finish it in?
I would also like to restore this mower.

SSchevel, if you find anything out I'd be curious to, I have my great-grandpa's sickle mower but it says 'Deering Ideal - International Harvester' - is that what yours says? It's in the shed now, and has more of a burnt orange look color to it.

Be fun to compare part numbers if you think they are the same/similar to figure it out closer. I have quite a few pictures of it and part #'s. Thanks.
