Ive got an allis chalmers g two row
planter. I was wondering if the made
planter plates for pumpkins? Or could you
modify one of the existing plates for
pumpkins?

Those planters are the same as the other planters AC built so plates are around, also adapters were made to use most any plastic plates.I have a large group of AC planter plates but never have seen a pumpkin plate like my Cole planters use.

Years ago and it was before we started using weed killers on the corn just planted them in the corn field. And to do that we just put the pumpkin seed in the dry fertilizer box and got a good spread of seeds.

As TF indicated you can get an adapter so you can use any "open center" Deere plate (as compared to the old-fashioned kind with the bar across the middle) in your AC planter. I have the Deere B27436 plate that is made for pumpkins and have used it several times. It has very large cells and with my seed dropped a lot of doubles but it did the job. Be aware that this plate requires the use of a filler plate as it is thinner than a corn or bean plate. On the Lincoln Ag Products website it notes that you can cut your own pumpkin plate from a blank to match a particular seed size. This blank would also require the filler plate. Lincoln Ag sells the plates, fillers, and also the Deere-to-AC adapter.
