Sorry...Another Question

I'm looking @ an FEL, and in reading the specs, the numbers given are based on hydraulics w/ pressure/flow of 2450/11 gpm.

My system pressure/flow is 2000/7.4 gpm.

I'm assuming that the loader will function slower on my tractor, but how much will lift and force be affected by the lower pressure/flow?

Almost 20% less pressure so about 20% less FORCE, about 33% less flow so about 33% less SPEED. Without knowing what what it is coming off of, and what it's going on to (type of pump and if your system is open or closed center) can't get much closer than that.

Thanks, I didn't know if it would be a direct % correlation or not.

The 2450/11gpm are manufacturer specs for a Bush Hog brand FEL. I don't know if that's figured from an open or closed system.

The 2000/7.4gpm is an open system Case-DB885.

If you're concerned about reduced lifting capacity, you can calculate the vectors.

I found this quickie calculator handy when designing a brush grapple. I just needed a simple calculation of down pressure on the jaw.
 
Since you wouldn't be changing the bore of the cylinders, or the angle at which they operate the only variable is the pressure (force), and the flow (speed).
