I have to pick up a 346 baler and the small right tire has a slice all the way across the tread. I havent seen how deep it is and it still holds air good. I have about 60 miles to haul it. Is there another rim and tire I could use as a spare that would fit without interference if that one pops on me. I was thinking maybe a NH 6 lug baler rim with a low profile tire. I measured it and it seems like it was only about 24" diameter. Would anyone know the bolt pattern size?

I don't know if it's a 4 bolt or 6 bolt on the 346. My 336 is 6 bolt, and about a 12" wheel. You need a small one like that since a standard 15" impliment tire is too large to fit.. but the hub is likely the same.

I appreciate the offer but I'm way down south, maybe someone near you might need it. It was a six lug, I used a right hand rake rim with a street tire on it. The left hand NH rim with a street tire didn't like all that weight. I had to keep stopping and let it cool. When it started hopping too much I knew it was time for a cool down. Now to get everything oiled and loose. Someone on here said they welded some fingers on the auger to keep it from plugging. If you read this, let me know how long you made the fingers and were they at 90* ?

I sold my 1978 JD346 baler last year ,but still have a used 13" implement tire for that 6 bolt wheel' Probably any similar ht bolt would work .Only 13" implement tire I ever saw ,it's free in S WI but 40 years old.

Its a donut, seems like it was only 12" from center to outside of tire. I thought it was a 6 lug but it might be a 4. I'll take a 273 baler right wheel with me, it has a street tire on it, thanks.

Quoting Removed, click Modern View to see

According to JDparts.com & my memory the RH wheel hub(AE27717) on a JD 346 has 4(four) lug bolts not 6

Most any 6 hole implement rim will fit. I've run a small 15 or 14 on mine. Like a 195 or 205.

I think any 4 bolt implement wheel will fit.

Cannot say for sure on that one but the 14T and 214T have a 4 bolt rim on the pickup side and a 6 bolt rim on the plunger side. But both rims are the common 4 and 6 bolt implement type rims

IIRC,that is a common 6 bolt implement wheel. Any tire wheel will fit. Doesn't have to be a 'low profile'. a common 14 or 15 inch tire/wheel will fit.Btw,take a second spare for the heavy side, too. Check/grease bearings and make sure tires are inflated to maximum rated PSI.Even3-5 lbs extra is good.
