i would like to go back to making 5 x 6 bales i have a 505 super i . i like the machine very much, very tough and just seems to keep baling with no brake downs. would like to know if they made a 605 super i or how do the numbers work? would a j be newer. whats the best 5 x 6 baler that Vermeer makes. i only make about 400 bales a year, but when it comes to feeding i like the 5x 6 size better. and less moving of hay all the way around. the 505 is very simple i like that part of it. does anybody have an opinion on what model Vermeer i should be looking at?

I am the same way. I make 5x6 bales here on the farm for my live stock. Reduces the number of trips to store the hay or feed hay by half.

I have a 605L that makes better bales than my neighbors super M does. With my L baler, if the monitor donít work , I can use a toggle switch to tie and still bale. The newer ones canít do that

I ended up making a jumper wire for my Gehl one time when the computer needed to be sent in for repair. I plug it in to the twine arm motor and to the chopper controls, then run it with the spout turn toggle.
