Are you sure about that? I thought Tarter made some Frontier stuff for Deere? Not the spreaders,but some tillers and what not. I thought it was kinda like Kenmore and they bought from whoever made it the cheapest.

Look at an H&S 1180 and you'll see who makes them. Frontier is a rebrand shortline from Deere. Deere makes exactly none of the equipment.

The frontier brand is a cheap brand of implements made to compete with the cheap junk that other companies sell that?s all it?s purpose is to give buyers a cheaper option than John Deere implements

The only thing ?exclusive? is the shade of paint. The same stuff can be bought from the folks that actually manufacture it.

The only Frontier store I knew of lasted only a couple of years and was not far from the John Deere store that has grown to a mega count store chain. Always thought they were connected.

I thought Agco and fiat bought the cheapest junk they could and then put a cnh decal on it or put a buy Massey Ferguson decal ? And then there?s Oliver rebadging fiats to try and sell I guess that is a case of when green paint really did add value to something ?

John Deere just wanted to sell you the same quality junk as fiat and Agco so they bought a company that builds and buys cheap implements that are as good as what fiat and tsc sells 😂

None of the short line makers of Frontier equipment make junk. J&M, H&S, MacDon. All are very well known and very well respected companies. I bleed any color but JD green, but they are not dumb enough to sell junk from poor 3rd party manufacturers.
