Baler CV joint

On my CIH 8530 (Hesston) inline baler, the front CVjoint 'blew up'. I 'jury rigged' a standard old ujoint to get the field done. It seems to work just fine, however,it doesn't seem to turn as short as the CVjoint.Any Ideas on how to get another CV joint? CIH is expencive. I'd like to go back to a CV if possible(if I can afford to)Any used ones out there.Acctually I'd like to find a complete (male) front shaft/cv assembly. Thanks! Steve

You can buy just the front section. Still not "cheap". I did that for my Hesston 1320 discbine. A company advertises a good bit by the name of Margarusville or something. I think only three companies make those CV joints, Waltershied, ..., and, ... The old brain is failing me this late at night. Try google.

Download the "Weasler" catalog (210 page .pdf) at the link below, you should be able to identify your driveshaft and come up with part numbers, then do a 'net search for the best prices.

That's were I got a new one for my Bush hog from. Saved me over half and my deere dealer get it for me in 2 days.

I'm a little late here on this sorry. We have a shop here in Springfield MO. that rebuilds clutches and stuff like that, they sell those assemblies too. May be someplace local to you that does that too? May not be any cheaper, just a thought.

I jury rigged a regular U joint years ago on a CV joint that blew up. Just don't turn so sharp.

$30 repair instead of $1000.

Yes A&I is half of the dealership. (NH wanted $1000 for the shaft, A&I $1000 for both ends)
