Howse 7? bush-hog

Reckon what gearbox is on this 7? Howse cutter, thinking
about trading a disc harrow for it, it looks very sturdy, got
plans on hooking it up behind my 5000 Ford tractor, the
current owner said it?s too heavy for his 70hp Kubota tractor
and has trouble keeping his front wheels on the ground, I can
weight my 5000 Ford frontend down if needed.

House used a couple different brands of gear boxes but they have a good parts web site and you can order direct.
I'm on my second Howse 10 ft pull type, the first one I wore completely out, this second one I rebuilt the outboard gears boxes 8 years ago but the cost was reasonable.

A neighbor had a 7 footer That he used for many years until the deck rusted completely out. If did make his JD 2630 light in the front.

Howse is located in Laurel, Ms so not for from you.
