can I use a log splitter valve for grapple claw?

I'm converting my ford 335 to quick attach so it's easier to switch loader attachments and want to use a brush grapple with claw.
Can I use a log splitter valve to operate the claw? If not, what would be the recommendation for the least expensive valve that
would do the job, and ideally a source to buy? any help or recommendations would be appreciated.

That valve should be the common run of the mill valve so yes it should work just fine

To expand a bit on what Old said there is nothing special about a log splitter valve except for it being set up with a pressure-released detent on just one side and no float position. This combination of features can be spec'ed out on many spool valves and in doing so it would often then be described as a "log splitter valve" although the valve could also be utilized in many other applications provided a float function isn't needed. You could set up the valve so it detented to open your claw completely without having to hold the lever which could be handy. Also, if you don't pull the lever back all the way the detent wouldn't be activated if that works better. Just don't set it up to detent when closing the claw.
