can I move my boxes on my white 5100 4 row wide and add two boxes and make a 6 row narrow? I've seen a couple 6 row narrows and they have two extra wheels under the planter.
thanks
Gary

I just bought a 5100 6-30 and 5 interplants to plant 11-15 beans. I'd like to talk to someone about it. Its all new to me.

Anything is possible, but it might take a lot.

How are the wheels attached, do thry clamp on the main frame, or are they a welded rock shaft that would need to be cut to slide them together? If the wheel assembly clamps to the frame, they you can just slide them in.

you would likely be putting a lot of weight on the pair of wheels, and you might have trouble driving 6 row units and maybe fertilizer with just 2 wheels. One of those deals it will work, but you have to travel slow if you go on the road, or full through a bumpy field road.....

You might need to weld on a foot or two of frame to get 6 to fit on.

Then the marker system would need to be made to fit the longer frame, and stretch thrm out longer.

And longer drive shafts.

That's what comes to mind off the top of my head.

Paul
