I'm replacing the wood in a New Idea Spreader and noticed a couple of items listed as "feed shaft support" in the parts catalog (items 10 in the picture, PN 200831). These pieces appeared to have been attached to the ends of two of the floor boards but are long gone from my spreader and most that I've seen. I've only got the rusted remains of two carriage bolts to show where they attached.

Were these pieces wood or metal? The picture implies wood (kind of shows wood grain), so if someone could give me description I'm wondering if I could just create them myself?

I think they should be described as "used feed shaft support".
