The original subject was "John Deere 4B plow".

Side question here with the photo of your JD A I came across. What size tires are those? How wide is the rim? I am doing some tire shopping for my unstyled A. I have the 18 spoke, 8" wheels. I am trying to decide between the. 12.4 36 and the 13.6 36...

I would say it wouls depend on whether you are running the original style round top fenders or no fenders. 12.4,s would look good and probably go better with the 8" rim if you run fenders. Without fenders they may look a little too "skinny". Tread pattern plays into the "look" also. 45degree always look skinnier so 13.6 in 45 would have the right look. I don't think they would bulge too much on 8" rims but you may want to see some on 8" before buying.

Yeah, I ordered the 12.4 36s. I don't have fenders. I hope they don't look too skinny. I already ordered them. I never heard back from anyone or saw any good pics of the 13.6s on an 8" rim. So, I took the plunge. I think the 13.6s would have been better, but I'm not sure. I ordered the Mitas TD-13 tires. The have the straight, traditional 45 degree lug.

Yours are 36 and mine were 38,s so I think your 12.4 will look fine as they are shorter.

Sure, thanks. That tire size and wheel width looked pretty sweet on your '37 A.

You liked that 4B plow? Is it pretty accurate for a '37 A?
