Went back to look at the case disc one gang is pretty bad the bearings are shot. The bearing spools are three piece the center and two washers on the end the end washers are wore out( see picture). Dose anyone know if they are avalable or any ideas on how to make it operational at not to great an expense. Looks good otherwise straght needs tires and a couple blades also looked closer at the plows both in rough and incomplete one has two nice 14in plow chief bottoms will get them if they decide to cut it up. Also picked up this old air station.

I probably have blades. What diameter do you need? What is the center hole?

Boy I would love to find a disk like that for plow days. Everybody has a plow but very few disk if any show to work.

On that Case disc the 2 "washers" are actually dust and dirt seals to keep dirt out of the box bearings. The bearing housings are 2 piece, an upper and a lower. From what I can see in the picture it appears the only real problem is that the axle nut needs to be tightened up. Unless of course there are broken spools also.

You'll need some part numbers and a call to a CIH dealer to see if the bearings and other parts are still available. If they cost anything close to what a similar bearing setup on an IH 37 does from CIH (top half of bearing $120+, spool $135+, bottom half of bearing $95+) you'll learn why it's at the scrapyard.
Generic bearing replacements for lighter discs are available from Agri-Supply and SMA dealers, but I don't know if they will work with this disc without (alot of) modification.

The rusty plow is a #2 Little Wonder. They predate WWII and are getting hard to find. Wear parts look usable from what I see in the picture.
The green one is a #8 Little Genius. The front share is about shot and the price of 2 of those will be more than most people think the plow is worth. Moldboards look ok. They are NLA from anyone. Points may have some life left. Coulters appear to be off of a newer model of plow. The hydraulic lift parts should have some value.

On the bearings, check out Agri Supply (ASC) they have that type and the sealed bearing types. Not sure which brand of disc they fit but they have them. Call and ask: 800-345-0169 www.agrisupply.com.

I don't know if you want to restore it for regular use or not but the greasable bearings on a draft type equipment (not 3 point liftable)is very hard to maintain since the bearings must be greased daily. I had a 7 foot 3 point and even with a pneumatic grease gun it was much more effort than sealed bearings. Having to crawl under and over to access the zircs will be aggravating.

I had them on a couple of JD implements and I too agree that they were a pain to maintain. Course if your implement is setup for them I doubt converting would be all that easy; but I never tried it so I don't know.
