I would keep looking. I have seen allot of decent GMers for a grand or so. Ones that were complete and would work for a small guy just using it every few weeks. I paid 1500 for mine and that was from a dealer. But it was complete and has worked good for me in my small operation. It was a JD 400. I use it about every 10 days year round. I keep it inside and try to maintain it the best I can.

They were an Arts Way weren't they? Seems to me that Massey Ferguson sold some of them too. That should widen your search for a used auger.

I have a 1250, basically the same as 1150, if the entire rear auger is gone, there is a door on the rear you would open and then you would have to auger the grain away from it, but it will empty out of that door. It would actually work for filling pails with the rear auger off and the machine not running, but to empty it completely you would have to have the machine running so the grain agitates out the back.

Does it have any part of the unloading auger? Like the part that parallels the angle of the tank...and laCKING THE PART THAT goes beyond? Most any GM should have at least an access door on the bottom slope of the tank to discharge feed to the ground.

for $500 you should be able to find one with an auger, we bought one new and it ground alot of earcorn and oats for 30 years with normal upkeep, maybe not the best but definately not the worst grinder
