Here are some pictures of my $40.00 grain drill. I think it's a Model F Combo. Original paint was red with yellow spokes, I think. On the Top it read The Van Brunt Manufacturing Co. Horicon Wis.
Also read John Deere on the grain box.

Its a John Deere/Van Brunt grain drill. my dad had one and, if my lousy brother hasn't junked or sold it its still in operateing shape. It has steel wheels where yours had wood. Seems to be the only difference. His had a tongue for horses. Once, a neighbor needed a couple of dads horses to plow with. Dad wanted to drill wheat or oats. The neighbor said, why cant I use the horses, and will take off the tongue to the drill and make a stub tongue for your tractor. When your ready to drill ill ride the drill and you ride the tractor. Dad had a 37 WC AC at that time. So, that's what they did. Went to the woods and cut out a tongue. Had a drop hitch made for it so the drill would be level.
