I noticed that there is a leak on the cement under the gearbox on my Deere 400 mixer grinder. Not a huge one, but maybe baseball size. Looks like something there needs a seal. The thought of laying under that dusty thing doesn't sound fun at all.

Anyone ever filled it with cornhead grease?

Maybe I should start by topping it off and putting in some Lucas transmission additive.

Check fiorst to make sure the bearings and gears are still good before you put that grease in, If they are bad that could be the leak with the seals still being good.

Do something to keep it going. I believe that gearbox and its guts are NLA in the parts system.
