Going to look at a couple of Little Genius trip plows, the one I am mainly interested in is a 1-16 to pull with my little 60 Oliver. Can parts be had for the moldboard, or can something be altered and fitted? Just curious.

Can anyone shed some light on this plow I recently acquired?

Would this be the plow chief or super chief style? I need plow points, any place that sells them?

Can we still get these from CIH?

It depends on the wings that are mounted. The old one piece "Plow Chief" wings are hard to get parts for. The replacement (in the late 1950's) "Super Chief" has two pieces to the wing and one piece plow points and the points can be found almost anywhere. The Plow Chiefs might have a two piece point or a one piece point with a thickened and extended point on the front end. You can replace the entire plow and change a Little Genius from a "Plow Chief" to a "Super Chief" arrangement but it will be a little pricy. If the plow has a wear shin at the front of the wing you have a "Super Chief" plow. The "Plow Chief" wing was all one piece.

I do have a few very good 16" shear and moldboards if it ends up needing one. Bob

Bob, The moldboard is in great shape. May be interested in a shear though. My email is open. Thanks
